Bel-Aire
Bel-Aire is the smallest of Calgary's recognized luxury communities — fewer than 100 homes — wrapped along the north shore of the Glenmore Reservoir. Lots run 0.30 to 0.60 acres, most facing west toward the water. Several still hold their original 1970s and 80s homes, and the rebuild cycle here is slower than anywhere else in the southwest.
Sales activity is sparse: under ten per year on average, and many transactions never reach the open market. Pricing has moved decisively above $5M for a finished new build over the past three years.
The Glenmore Reservoir pathway is the dominant outdoor amenity — 16 km of paved pathway accessible directly from the community.
Earl Grey School and Western Canada High School. The Calgary Canoe Club is the historic community institution.
Britannia Plaza is the closest retail. Chinook Centre is a six-minute drive for full-service shopping.
