Lake Bonavista

The 52-acre private lake is the centrepiece, with sandy beaches, a waterfall, and lakeside green space reserved for residents. Fish Creek Provincial Park runs along the community's southern edge, adding one of North America's largest urban parks with kilometres of pathways, the Bow River, and wildlife minutes from home. Interconnected pathways, mature parkland, and the wooded ridge to the east give walkers, cyclists, and dogs room to roam year-round.

The Lake Bonavista Community Association operates a community centre with two ice rinks, a gymnasium, and multipurpose rooms, separate from the homeowners association that maintains the lake. Commuting is straightforward via Macleod Trail, Anderson Road, and Canyon Meadows Drive, and the Canyon Meadows CTrain station on the Red Line puts downtown within a direct ride. Calgary Transit bus routes connect the community's north, middle, and south to the wider network.

Everyday shopping sits inside the community at Lake Bonavista Promenade, home to a Safeway grocery, cafes, restaurants, and professional services. The nearby Avenida Centre adds specialty shops, an art gallery, and upmarket dining, while Southcentre Mall and the big-box retail along Macleod Trail cover major shopping just minutes north. Willow Park Village and the surrounding southeast corridor round out the options for restaurants, boutiques, and services.
