Auburn Bay
Auburn Bay is a lake community in Calgary's southeast, built by Brookfield Residential from the mid-2000s around a 43-acre freshwater lake with a private beach and beach club. The community sits between Stoney Trail SE to the north and 52 Street SE to the south, with Deerfoot Trail along its eastern edge and Auburn Bay Boulevard tracing the west, placing it minutes from the South Health Campus and the Seton Urban District.
Spanning roughly 900 acres, Auburn Bay grew into one of the city's larger master-planned lake neighbourhoods, with year-round lake access managed by the Auburn Bay Residents Association. Residents skate and play hockey on the lake in winter and swim, paddle, and fish through summer.
In Calgary's southeast market, Auburn Bay reads as a family-oriented, amenity-rich community where the private lake, the adjacent hospital, and Seton's retail and recreation anchor steady, broad-based demand from first-time buyers through move-up families.
The 43-acre freshwater lake anchors outdoor life, with a private beach, splash and paddle access in summer, and skating and hockey through winter. Auburn Bay's network of pathways, green spaces, and tot lots connects the community on foot, and Fish Creek Provincial Park and the Bow River pathways sit a short drive away for longer rides, runs, and walks.
The Auburn Bay Residents Association operates Auburn House, the lake, and community programming, with membership automatic for every homeowner. The South Health Campus hospital and the Seton Urban District border the community, and the Brookfield Residential YMCA at Seton adds pools, rinks, and fitness space. Commuters reach the rest of the city fast via Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail, with Calgary's future Green Line LRT planned to extend service toward Seton.
Everyday shopping and dining sit right next door. Auburn Station on Auburn Meadows Boulevard SE brings grocery, services, and casual restaurants within the community, while the adjacent Seton Urban District adds a large Superstore, the VIP Cineplex cinema, cafes, pubs, and national retailers. Between Auburn Station and Seton, residents cover daily needs, dinners out, and a night at the movies without leaving Calgary's southeast.
