Altadore
Altadore sits south of Garrison Woods and north of Glenmore Trail, structured around the 33rd Avenue and 20th Street commercial spines that form Marda Loop. The community is one of Calgary's strongest infill markets — over half the original 1950s housing stock has been replaced since 2005 with duplexes, skinnies, and contemporary single-family rebuilds.
River Park, the community's southwestern anchor, runs along the Elbow River with serious off-leash trails. Sandy Beach, the swimming hole at the bottom of the park, is one of Calgary's most consistent summer crowds.
River Park and Sandy Beach are the dominant amenities. The Elbow River pathway runs north into Mission and south toward Glenmore Reservoir.
Altadore School (K-6), Dr. Oakley School, Lycée International de Calgary, Master's Academy, and Rundle Academy all sit within Altadore. The community has the highest concentration of K-12 schools in inner-city Calgary.
