    THE STORY

Parkhill is an inner-city community set on the east bank of the Elbow River, directly south of Mission and a five-minute drive from downtown Calgary. Its boundaries run from Mission Road on the north to Macleod Trail on the east, Crescent Boulevard on the south, and the Elbow River and Stanley Park on the west. Elbow Park, Erlton, Rideau Park, and Elboya sit alongside it, placing Parkhill among Calgary's most established city-centre addresses.

Established around 1910, Parkhill is one of Calgary's older neighbourhoods, and its elevated streets have long been prized for river-valley and downtown views. The housing mix reflects that history: Craftsman and character two-storeys sit beside postwar bungalows and contemporary infill, on quiet, tree-lined streets that step up from the river.

Compact and tightly held, Parkhill trades on scarcity. Detached homes here averaged just over $1 million in 2025, with ridge lots facing the Elbow River commanding well beyond that, keeping the community firmly in the upper tier of Calgary's inner-city market.

    OUTSIDE

Stanley Park anchors outdoor life in Parkhill, with tennis courts, an outdoor pool, a lawn bowling club, ball diamonds, and a playground set in the Elbow River valley. The adjacent Elbow River pathways carry walkers, runners, and cyclists along the water and connect into Calgary's wider regional pathway network, giving residents kilometres of riverside recreation a few steps from their doors.

    AMENITIES

The Parkhill Stanley Park Community Association runs local events and programming, while Stanley Park handles much of the day-to-day recreation. Commuting is straightforward: Macleod Trail and Mission Road frame the community for quick trips downtown or south, and the Erlton/Stampede and 39 Avenue CTrain stations sit minutes away, putting the core within a short ride by transit or car.

    SHOP & DINE

Parkhill's everyday shopping and dining centre on the 4th Street SW and Mission districts just to the north, a walkable strip of cafes, wine bars, restaurants, boutiques, and gourmet markets. Britannia Plaza and Elbow Drive shops add specialty grocery, dining, and services nearby, while Macleod Trail and Chinook Centre put big-box retail and department stores within a short drive.
