    THE STORY

Windsor Park is an established inner-city community in Calgary's city-centre, roughly five kilometres south of downtown along the Macleod Trail corridor. It is bounded by 50 Avenue SW to the north, Macleod Trail to the east, 58 Avenue SW to the south, and the Calgary Golf & Country Club and Elbow River to the west, sitting directly adjacent to Britannia, Elboya, Manchester, and Meadowlark Park.

Development began in 1940, and the community was annexed to the City of Calgary in 1951. That history shows in the streetscape: mature trees, walkable blocks, and original post-war bungalows now giving way to custom infill. Windsor Park belongs to the Chinook communities, a tightly held pocket where proximity to the river, the golf course, and Chinook Centre keeps demand consistent.

In Calgary's market, Windsor Park reads as an inner-city hold. Buyers gain a Britannia-adjacent, river-close address with strong school designations, without paying Britannia or Bel-Aire prices, while a steady supply of condos keeps an entry point open below the detached market.

    OUTSIDE

The Elbow River and its regional pathway trace Windsor Park's western edge, connecting cyclists and runners to Sandy Beach, River Park's off-leash areas, and Stanley Park's outdoor pool and riverside greens. The Calgary Golf & Country Club borders the community directly, and the Glenmore Reservoir's rowing and sailing waters sit a short ride south. Mature neighbourhood greenspaces round out the everyday outdoor options.

    AMENITIES

The Windsor Park Community Association runs local programming and events for residents. Commuting is straightforward: Macleod Trail and Elbow Drive both run the length of the community, Glenmore Trail is minutes south, and the Red Line Chinook CTrain station puts downtown within a quick ride. Calgary Transit routes along Macleod Trail add frequent service for car-free days.

    SHOP & DINE

Shopping and dining sit right at the doorstep. CF Chinook Centre, Calgary's largest mall, anchors the eastern edge at 6455 Macleod Trail SW with more than 250 stores, a food hall, and the Scotiabank Theatre. To the northwest, Britannia Plaza offers a more boutique mix, including Sunterra Market, Village Ice Cream, and independent cafés and shops along Elbow Drive at 49 Avenue SW.
