Hamptons
The Hamptons is a master-planned golf-course community at the northwest edge of Calgary, laid out around the 18-hole Hamptons Golf Club. It sits bounded by Stoney Trail to the north, Shaganappi Trail to the east, Country Hills Boulevard to the south, and Sarcee Trail to the west, sharing this corner of the city with Edgemont, Hidden Valley, and Country Hills.
Established in 1990 and built out by Tirion Properties, the community grew up around a Bill Newis-designed course that opened in 1993 as the private Country Club at the Hamptons. Executive homes line the fairways, ponds, and natural ravines, and more than three decades on the streets carry mature trees and a settled, established character.
In Calgary's northwest luxury market, the Hamptons holds steady demand. Sixty-six single-family homes sold across the community in 2025, and properties here trade around the $890,045 average on file — established golf-course addresses that turn over less often than newer suburbs on the city's rim.
The community maintains roughly 30 acres of parkland, a paved bike-path system, soccer pitches, ball diamonds, tennis and practice courts, an Olympic-size outdoor hockey rink with heated sheltered bleachers, and a creative playground. Pathways connect directly to Nose Hill Park, one of Calgary's largest natural-environment parks, for off-leash areas, prairie grassland, and open city views minutes from home.
The Hamptons Community Association doubles as the homeowners association, funding and running the rinks, courts, fields, and green spaces through an annual fee. Commuting is quick: Stoney Trail and Sarcee Trail ring the community for fast access across the city and out to Calgary International Airport, while Country Hills Boulevard and Shaganappi Trail feed downtown routes. The nearest C-Train is Crowfoot Station to the west.
Everyday shopping sits minutes away. The Beacon Hill shopping district anchors the area with Costco, Home Depot, and Canadian Tire, while Country Hills Town Centre adds grocery stores, restaurants, and services, and Sobeys Country Hills runs around the clock. A neighbourhood plaza on Hamptons Drive keeps everyday services — medical offices, a liquor store, car wash, and quick-service dining — close to home.
